Assigned’s founder, Evan Urquhart, is a trans journalist whose work has appeared on the Atlantic, Vanity Fair, Politico, NewNowNext, Truthout, Autostraddle, and Slate. In 2025 he was a fellow at the Knight Science Journalism program at MIT.
